Mercedes Mone vacates APAC Women’s title due to budget issues

Mercedes Mone revealed in her latest installment of Mone Mag that she has vacated the APAC Women’s title, the last indie title she was holding, after the Malaysian promotion was unable to fly her back to the country due to budget issues.

Mone wrote that she offered to drop the title to someone while working with another promotion in the United States but APAC Wrestling were not interested.

“My team and I really tried to make things work — we put in the effort, had the conversations, and explored every option. But at the end of the day, they told us they didn’t have the budget to fly me out and weren’t open to working with other promotions,” Mone wrote. “For me? That just didn’t align with the vision. So I made the decision to vacate the title.”

Mone dropped all her indie titles by losing clean to opponents that the promotions chose and she wanted to do the same for APAC Wrestling as well.

This means that Mone is now down to the ceremonial Owen Hart Cup Tournament title and no longer is in possession of any other wrestling championship.

During 2025, the former TBS champion won and carried 13 title belts simultaneously, surpassing the Ultimo Dragon 11-title record set 30 years prior.
