Mercedes Mone is one title lighter after she lost the EWA Women’s championship to Mila Smidt last night in France.
Mone and Smidt wrestled at the Banger Zone Wrestling x Rixe Catch Apogee event at Palais des Sports in Dreux and shed her third title in a matter of weeks. She is now in possession of five titles, two of which will be on the line next week at the RevPro High Stakes event on March 21.
Following the clean loss, Mone and Smidt held up a sign which read “More women in the ring,” with the referee and everyone in the arena clapping.
Mone is currently on a sabbatical from AEW but is expected to return later in the month.
