Matt Sydal signs with All Elite Wrestling

AEW announced the signing of Matt Sydal, two months after he made his debut at the All Out pay-per-view.

Sydal was a surprise entrant in the battle royal on the show and started with a bang…completely botching his shooting star press when he slipped from the top rope as his first move in an AEW ring. But Sydal recovered like a pro although his entrance will forever be part of the highlight reel.

The 37-year-old Missouri native wrestled for Impact Wrestling, Ring of Honor, WWE – under the name of Evan Bourne – PWG, New Japan, and other independent promotions throughout the years with his last run with a major promotion being Impact Wrestling between 2017 and 2018.
