Lance Archer talks signing with AEW, wrestling at WrestleMania, Jake Roberts, and more

AEW’s Lance Archer was the subject of an interview with Chris Vliet of The Chris Van Vliet Show where he talked about a variety of topics including signing with AEW, being managed by Jake “The Snake” Roberts, his time in WWE, wrestling at WrestleMania, his nickname, and more.

Archer, who described himself as a “journeyman” for bouncing around all over the world, said that a visit backstage to AEW to visit friends when the company came to Dallas kicked off the whole thing and after wrapping his deal with New Japan Pro Wrestling, he decided to jump onboard after AEW offered him a deal.

“So I didn’t go looking for a job but ultimately that’s kind of what happened. I’ve been lucky and blessed in a lot of different ways. I’ve worked in a lot of different places from TNA to WWE for a short cup of coffee, I showed up in Ring of Honor a few times, I worked down in Mexico with AAA and different places like that. So I’ve bounced around and been a journeyman to say the least,” Archer told Vilet.

Archer also spoke about participating at WrestleMania 26 during the pre-show battle royal, calling it a cool moment to be able to walk down the ramp at at a WrestleMania. He said that he could be sour and bitter about his time in WWE but that does him no good and certainly doesn’t help him move forward in wrestling or life.
