Ladder match at Forbidden Door to determine new TNT champion

As expected, the TNT title has been vacated by Adam Copeland after he announced that he broke his leg coming off the top of the cage on Sunday in his Double or Nothing match against Malakai Black.

The TNT title will be up for grabs at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view and it will be a ladder match to determine who will be the new champion.

Qualifying matches will start this week on Rampage with Konosuke Takeshita vs Penta El Zero Miedo in the first match.

Originally, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson addressed the title situation in an in-ring segment and as EVPs, “stripped” the title off Copeland. Then they said they know a guy to take over the title: Jack Perry.

But things did not go The Elite’s way as Christopher Daniels came out and said he is the new Interim EVP and shot down the idea of Perry getting the title and instead announced the ladder match.
