Kota Ibushi says return to the ring is two years out

Kota Ibushi said it will take two years for him to return to the ring after undergoing successful surgery to repair a fractured femur.

The Japanese star suffered the injury last week when he was wrestling Josh Alexander at the Collision tapings, breaking the strongest bone in the human body after falling from the top rope to the outside.

“My current condition. One year to fully recover. Two years until I can step into the ring again,” Ibushi wrote in a post on Instagram.

“I believe in myself more than the doctors,” he continued. “I know I have amazing DNA that gives me the ability to heal!”
