Konosuke Takeshita to defend AEW International title at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 19

AEW International champion Konosuke Takeshita will be wrestling at the upcoming NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19 pay-per-view in January.

NEVER champion Shingo Takagi issued a title challenge for Takeshita after the AEW champ retained his championship against TJP at the NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed event.

This will be a winner-take-all match and both titles are on the line. The winner of this match is rumored to be taking on Tomohoro Ishii the following day at the NJPW/AEW show Wrestle Dynasty.

Takeshita won the title at WrestleDream last month, defeating champion Will Ospreay and Ricochet in a three-way match.
