Jim Ross signs brand new one-year deal with AEW

Jim Ross is a happy man after he got what he wanted: a brand new AEW contract.

The WWE Hall of Famer revealed on his latest episode of Grilling JR that he signed a completely new deal for one year, calling it the “quickest and easiest negotiation” he’s ever done in his career of 50 years.

“That’s all because of Tony Khan’s commitment to me as a broadcaster. And he’s always been a fan of my work, which helps your cause, when your boss is a fan of your work. It never hurts anything, so we got a new deal,” Ross said.

JR added that he’s happy with the year-long deal and financial-wise, it was everything he wanted.

“I was very blessed to be working with Tony on that deal, he wanted me signed. He got his man and I got my company, so it all worked out real well,” he continued.

Ross returned at Revolution to call the final two matches after several health issues prevented him from traveling and doing any work for the company.
