Ilja Dragunov is on his way to AEW as a teaser hyping his arrival aired last night on the three-hour Dynamite and Collision broadcast.

The teaser video showed a man conducting an orchestra and running the ropes, but he was never identified.

But it’s clearly the first hype for the former NXT champion, who signed with AEW last month. Dragunov did not sign a new WWE contract and let his deal expire, becoming a free agent in August.

The Russian/German star had some of the best matches in WWE but was never used to his full potential on the main roster after an impressive run in NXT UK and NXT.
