“Hangman” Adam Page wins the AEW World title at All In: Texas

“Hangman” Adam Page won the AEW World title last night at All In: Texas, defeating Jon Moxley in a fantastic, bloody, and violent Texas death match main event.

The overbooked ending, completely plausible in this scenario, also saw the involvement of the returning Darby Allin, Bryan Danielson, Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, Gabe Kidd, Marina Shafir, The Young Bucks, Prince Nana, and Swerve Strickland.

Moxley submitted after he was thrown over the top rope and hung with a chain around his neck, with the crowd at Globe Life Field exploding once he tapped out.

After the match, Page opened the briefcase where the AEW World title had been secured since October of last year and posed with the belt as fireworks went off.

This ends Moxley’s 273-day reign as champion, having won it from Bryan Danielson at WrestleDream last October. Moxley tops the chart of the combined reigns with the title, with a total of 620 days over four reigns.

It’s Page’s second run with the title, previously winning it at Full Gear 2021 from Kenny Omega. His reign lasted 197 days, losing it to CM Punk at Double or Nothing in May 2022.
