CJ Perry departs AEW

CJ Perry is done with AEW and revealed in an interview with USA Today that her deal with the company has just finished and is now a free agent.

Perry, the former Lana in WWE, talked to USA Today at the 2024 ESPY Awards and praised Liv Morgan, who is a close friend of hers, for her current angle with Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio.

The 39-year-old told USA Today that she would like to continue a career as a manager, saying that she wants to be the next Paul Heyman. Perry added that while she worked for both AEW and WWE, WWE remains “the greatest franchise in the world.”

Perry recently separated from her now ex-husband Miro and there are rumors that she’s in a relationship with Damian Priest.

She joined AEW in 2023, making her debut at the All Out pay-per-view and then started managing Andrade El Idolo before she turned on him and joined Miro after their match at Worlds End. She has not appeared on AEW TV since December of last year.
