Brodie Lee’s 8-year-old son “wins” AEW World title after Dynamite in touching segment

AEW gave one of Jon Huber’s kids, Brodie, a memory of a lifetime after at a recent Dynamite tapings, the young Brodie “beat” Kenny Omega for the AEW World title.

Taped after the show went off the air and solely for the Huber kids, Omega and The Young Bucks offered a spot in The Elite to the eight-year-old but The Dark Order came out for a brawl which eventually ended up in a match between the newly-crowned champ Omega versus Brodie. Brodie “won” the match after he applied a rear naked choke on Omega and Omega tapped out. Young Brodie was announced as the new AEW World champion by Justin Roberts.

Last month, Jon’s wife Amanda posted several photos from behind-the-scenes at AEW and wrote, “For the record, @allelitewrestling is the greatest company in the world and nobody will ever change my mind.”

The powers that be at AEW probably knew that Huber’s time was almost up and decided to give the kids a memorable experience and a nice Christmas present to get their minds off the problems they were having as a family.

The 41-year-old was being treated at the Jacksonville Mayo Clinic although apart from saying he had a lung issue, no one has exactly revealed what the illness was. Mayo Clinic is a world-renowned hospital that treats several illnesses, especially cancer.
