Arn Anderson departing AEW

Arn Anderson, who has been working with AEW since early 2020, is departing the company effective June 1.

The WWE Hall of Famer and member of the famous Four Horsemen said on his podcast that his last day with AEW is May 31 and will not be renewing his deal, instead focusing on his son Brock.

Anderson thanked several people including Tony Khan, Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross, and co-workers like Dean Malenko, Jerry Lynn, and Billy Gunn for everything they’ve done.

Anderson made his AEW debut at All Out 2019 coming to the aid of Cody Rhodes and then signed a deal with the company to start in January 2020, serving as Cody’s advisor. While doing several on-screen appearances, Anderson also worked backstage.

He had previously been working with WWE as a producer but was fired in early 2019 after it was revealed that he allowed Alicia Fox to wrestle at a non-televised live event while she was intoxicated.
