AEW World champion Omega appears on two wrestling shows on the same night

AEW World champion Kenny Omega appeared on two different wrestling shows at the same time yesterday, appearing in a taped segment at Final Resolution for Impact Wrestling in Nashville and wrestling live for AAA at TripleMania XXVIII in Mexico City.

Omega wrestled Laredo Kid and successfully retained the AAA Mega Championship, his first title defense this year. Over commentary, Omega’s alliance with Don Callis was noted as well. Omega won the AAA title from Fenix in October 2019 at Héroes Inmortales XIII.

The Lucha Brothers were also part of the show, defeating Myzteziz Jr. and Octagon Jr. and Rey Escorpion and El Texano Jr. to retain the AAA Tag Team titles in a three-way tag team match. They have been champions since June 16, 2019 after they beat The Young Bucks at Verano de Escándalo.
