AEW to have six-show residency in Chicago in July

AEW will hold a six-show residency in July at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago.

Located in the Uptown area of the city, the venue can hold a maximum of 5,000 seats and will have another unique look for the shows.

The shows held there are Dynamite on July 16, Collision on July 17, Dynamite on June 23, Collision on July 26, Dynamite on July 30, and Collision on July 31.

A pre-sale will kick off Thursday, May 15 using the code TIX9AEW and then tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, May 19 at 10AM CT.

While Chicago has seen a downturn in attendance for AEW events, tomorrow’s Dynamite Beach Break will have over 4,000 fans, which is up from the 2,700 that Collision did in the same arena in September of last year.

This is the second AEW residency announced this year, with the company also doing something similar in Philadelphia at the 2300 Arena between August 27 and September 11. Residency shows reduce overall production costs, which is the main reason why they are done.
