AEW presents Hikaru Shida with new Women’s title

AEW unveiled an updated version of their Women’s title last night on Dynamite.

The new title was presented to champion Hikaru Shida to celebrate her one year as a champ. The title is similar to the old one, but larger in size.

Shida is the third one to hold the title and has kept it for 372 days so far, winning it all the way back in February 2020 against Nyla Rose during an episode of Dynamite. Riho is the inaugural champion and won it on the debut episode of Dynamite on TNT.

Shida will take on Britt Baker tomorrow night at Double or Nothing.
