AEW Grand Slam: Australia to be a yearly event after five-year deal signed

The AEW Grand Slam: Australia is going to be a yearly event moving forward, at least for five years.

Wrestle Radio Australia revealed that AEW signed a five-year deal with TEG Sport last year to bring AEW action every year to the country.

The first Grand Slam: Australia was held earlier this year in Brisbane and AEW is returning for the second show in February of next year in Sydney. They will also have a rare house show in Brisbane the following night.

Originally set for the SunCorp Stadium, this year’s Grand Slam was eventually moved to the indoor Brisbane Entertainment Centre due to low ticket sales.

TEG Sport has agreements with the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool FC, Top Rank, NHL, and others to bring events in Australia.
