AEW files trademark for Blood and Guts name

A few days ago on November 13, All Elite Wresting submitted an application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office to trademark the name AEW Blood and Guts, their possible new pay-per-view name.

In the description of the trademark, the artwork submitted is described as having the AEW logo at the top and then the words Blood and Guts, all in caps, in larger font with the word Blood on top, the word And in the middle housed in a rectangle, and the words Guts in the bottom.

It was submitted in the entertainment services, live video streaming, retail store services, toys, clothing, apparel, and the usual categories that are used for merchandise.

The “blood and guts” remark was actually uttered by Vince McMahon during the Q2 2019 conference call with investors saying that their plan was not to go back to the Attitude Era type of “blood and guts” unlike their new competitor, referring to AEW.
