Action Andretti stuns Chris Jericho with Dynamite win

AEW had their own Razor Ramon/123 Kid moment last night on Dynamite as Action Andretti defeated eight-time world champion Chris Jericho and earned himself an AEW contract in the process.

In front of a red-hot crowd in Garland, Andretti stunned the wrestling world after he beat Jericho clean with a running shooting star press, sending the crowd into frenzy.

Jericho, coming off a defeat this past Saturday to Claudio Castagnoli where he lost the ROH World title, looked in disbelief as Justin Roberts announced Andretti as the winner.

Andretti walked around the ring and high-fived fans with Jericho still in the middle of the ring looking stunned.

“We’ve just seen a moment that we’ll never forget,” screamed Tony Schiavone on commentary.

AEW President Tony Khan then announced via the usual graphic that Andretti is All Elite.

The 24-year-old made his pro wrestling debut in 2019 and trained with MCW Pro Wrestling. He had four prior matches with AEW, all on Dark.
