Kendal Grey wins the NXT Women’s title at Great American Bash

NXT Great American Bash signed off with a brand new NXT Women’s champion crowned as Kendal Grey defeated Lola Vice for her first gold in NXT.

Paying tribute to Kurt Angle with her in-ring gear, Grey won after she hit her Shades of Grey finisher on Vice, ending a highly-competitive 15-minute main event match. After the match, Grey celebrated with Wren Sinclair in the ring and then with her parents in the stands.

This ended Vice’s 85-day reign as champion, having won the title at Stand and Deliver in April in a triple threat match which also included Grey.

The 25-year-old Grey becomes the 23rd different female to hold the NXT Women’s title.
