Sareee pulled from Owen Hart Cup tournament, Maya World scores upset victory

As expected, Sareee did not participate in last night’s episode of Dynamite and surrendered her spot in the Owen Hart Cup tournament due to an injury she’s currently recovering from.

Taking her place was Maya World, who faced Skye Blue on the show, and scored the upset victory to book a semi final match against ROH Women’s champion Athena.

In an interview with Tokyo Sports, Sareee said that her tag team partner Takumi Iroha was traveling with her to take her place if she cannot compete but it seems that AEW had a different idea.

The other semi final match will feature Mercedes Mone vs Hazuki.
