Konnan undergoes second leg amputation

On the latest episode of The Coach and Bro podcast, Vince Russo revealed that wrestling legend Konnan underwent an amputation of his other leg.

Konnan, 62, had one of his legs amputated in March after he was hospitalized in San Diego but due to more health complications, the other leg also had to be removed.

“Konnan has gone through a double leg amputation. Yes, both legs. And I was smartened up on it,” Russo said on the podcast. “I knew he had the one leg amputated and the second one was in question. That was the last time I talked to him, probably about two months ago. They had to remove the second one.”

He added that he talked to Konnan this week and he was going through rehab to learn how to cope with being a double amputee.

Konnan told Russo that WWE paid for all his medical bills, including surgeries to amputate his legs.

Prior to health issues, Konnan was doing English commentary for AAA broadcasts on the WWE YouTube channel along with Corey Graves and JBL. He was eventually replaced by Rey Mysterio for the time being.
