Hey everybody! It’s @TheMagnumDA with another installment of the Pick’em report!
Tonight, we are LIVE in San Diego for Survivor Series: War Games!! This is all the concept of the late great Dusty Rhodes, who created this match back in 1987 with the NWA/WCW. Since 2022, this match has been used by WWE to blow off some of the biggest feuds and rivalries of the year.
This evening will be no different, as these are two of the most stacked War Games matches of all time, in terms of star power. Colin will defend the WOPC Championship in a straight up pick’em, with two tiebreaker questions in case the same picks are made.
What are we waiting for? Let the WARGAMES begin!!!
Women’s War Games Match
Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, and AJ Lee vs. Nia Jax, Lash Legend, The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane), and Becky Lynch
Tiebreaker: Who gets the winning fall?
Magnum: I am very much looking forward to this match. The next chapter of Asuka/Iyo. The Flair/Rhea and AJ/Becky dynamics. The tiebreaker leans into a question I have, which is…who takes the losing fall? Here, I’m looking at Lash Legend, who quietly got the call up to the main roster. I will make the prediction that Rhea gets the winning fall with a Riptide off the top of the cage for the faces. What a spot that would be!!
Colin: Riptide off the top of the cage would be wild! But I am going completely to a different direction here. I’m betting Charlotte Flair is going to turn back heel somehow and cost the faces the match. Expecting Iyo to do her usual garbage can spot, it’s a yearly thing now. She should do a 450 next LOL! Anyway, the heels will win and Becky Lynch gets the pin…on AJ Lee.
WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
John Cena (c) vs. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio
Magnum: I think we have seen John Cena’s last victory. I think he’s going to have two more matches where he puts Dirty Dom over, and then whomever wins this tournament (I’ll take Gunther over LA Knight in the finals). But yes, for tonight, I’ll take Dom to win his title back.
Colin: Crazy to think Dominik Mysterio had three matches with John Cena in his final two months after this one. That says a lot about how WWE feels about the younger Mysterio. Let’s face it, Cena only got the IC title to get him to Grand Slam status. He doesn’t need it, and nor does whoever he faces in the tournament final. The match is bigger than the title. I’m predicting a Dirty Dom win tonight. #AndNew
WWE Women’s World Championship Match
Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Nikki Bella
Magnum: I am inclined to believe that Nikki Bella will eventually win the title. That said, I don’t believe she’s going to win it right away. They’ll likely have a rematch down the road, but for tonight, I’ll take Vaquer to win and retain the title.
Colin: Nikki Bella vs “Stephanie Velcro” is not a match I expected to see at Survivor Series. Granted, Nikki is best as a heel but she also needs her sister to return. They’re more evil together. I can’t see how Vaquer would drop the title to Bella this early. Vaquer retains.
Men’s War Games Match
CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso), and Roman Reigns vs. The Vision (Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed), Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, and Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman)
Tiebreaker: Who gets the winning fall?
Magnum: What an absolutely stacked line-up. You gotta look at that tiebreaker again and ask who will take the losing fall. I’m inclined to believe that it will be Jimmy Uso. Who will get the pin? That’s a tough question. I will actually give the winning fall to Drew McIntyre for the heels – he seems to have unfinished business with Cody, so a win for him would give him that rematch.
Colin: I’m inclined to choose the heel team here as well. If my predictions are correct, that would mean both heel teams win this year’s WarGames. I guess we’re going to have a preview, somehow, of how WrestleMania top matches will pan out with this match. You know the face team won’t fully co-exist. There will be cracks. Who gets the fall? Hm, I’m hoping it’s going to be Bron Breakker.
That’s going to do it for us at the Pick’em report! Thank you for joining us and we hope you have a great Holiday season!! See you in 2026!!! @TheMagnumDA signing off.
