Swerve Strickland returns at Full Gear

Swerve Strickland returned to AEW last night during the closing moments of Full Gear and aligned himself with his nemesis, “Hangman” Adam Page.

Following Page’s loss to Samoa Joe in the cage match and as Joe was celebrating with his gang, the lights went out and a familiar image of Page’s house burning aired on the big screen. Prince Nana came out first, followed by the former AEW champion.

Joe offered Page up to Swerve to continue the damage but Strickland decided to go after the new champion, cleaning house by taking out The Opps’ Dojo members as well. Page recovered and joined Swerve as the two looked down to Joe and the rest of his group as they retreated.

Strickland has been out of action for a couple of months due to a knee surgery. His last match was at the Forbidden Door in August in London.
