Tony Khan coy on Chris Jericho’s future in AEW

Appearing on Busted Open Radio, AEW President Tony Khan remained coy on Chris Jericho’s future and said they’ll find out what’s going to happen in the next few months.

Jericho’s deal with AEW expires at the end of the year and it is believed that the former champion is heading back to WWE for the first time since 2018.

“He’s a huge part of AEW. He’s been here since the beginning and you know…I think we’ll see what happens here in the coming months but, Chris is always welcome,” Khan said, adding that he loved Jericho and will always be grateful for everything Jericho has done to AEW.

“The very first AEW World champion and somebody who’s now a nine-time world champion, and has won several of those championships here with us,” Khan continued.

Jericho announced his latest cruise for next year and has no AEW talent on it, and recently posted one of his WWE return videos on his social media.

He has not appeared on AEW television since April of this year and if he is not re-signing, it’s highly unlikely that he would appear on AEW television again.
