Kota Ibushi undergoes surgery to repair fractured femur

Kota Ibushi confirmed in a post on social media that he underwent surgery to repair a fractured femur he suffered during his match against Josh Alexander during the Collision tapings on Wednesday.

It’s actually quite difficult to break your femur considering it’s the longest and strongest bone in the body and such injuries are typically sustained in car crashes or high-impact trauma.

Ibushi wrote that the broken bone was trying to poke through his skin and it will take over a year, possibly a year and a half, to return to action.

He thanked AEW President Tony Khan for sending him a bouquet of flowers and a personal note.
