Kota Ibushi extends AEW contract for two more years

Hook is not the only one who signed a new AEW deal as Japanese star Kota Ibushi also revealed that he recently signed a two-year extension with AEW.

The 43-year-old returned to the company in June after almost two years off television. He had originally signed with AEW in late 2023 but disappeared shortly following the announcement.

Ibushi posted on Instagram boarding a private jet, writing that he was never born to fly in one of these and then announced that he renewed his AEW deal for two more years. He will be wrestling at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view later this month, joining Kenny Omega, Darby Allin, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Will Ospreay versus The Death Riders, The Young Bucks, and Gabe Kidd in a lights out steel cage match.
