With Dynamite taking place from his hometown of Winnipeg next week, the Canada Life Centre announced that former AEW champion Kenny Omega will be in the house for the show.

“WINNIPEG… we have a secret,” they wrote on X along with a photo of Omega making his entrance. “We will be seeing Kenny Omega at AEW in Winnipeg on May 1!”

Omega has been out of action since December of last year with a severe case of diverticulitis which was nearly fatal and has not appeared on AEW TV ever since.

He is certainly not cleared to compete and is actually undergoing surgery soon to fix the diverticulitis problem.

It remains unclear if Omega will actually appear on television or if it’s just for those in the building.
