WWE and Panini settle lawsuit without prejucide

188

WWE and Panini has settled their lawsuit out of court and the case was dismissed without costs and without prejudice.

No settlement terms were released.

A document filed with the Southern District Court of New York yesterday states, “WHEREAS, the Court has been informed that the parties have reached a settlement in principle in this consolidated case. Accordingly, it is hereby ORDERED that this action is dismissed without costs and without prejudice to restoring the action to the Court’s calendar, provided the application to restore the action is made within thirty (30) days of this Order. Any application to reopen filed after thirty (30) days from the date of this Order may be denied solely on that basis. Any pending motions are DENIED as moot, and all conferences and deadlines are CANCELLED.”

WWE dumped the Italian trading card giant citing breach of contract and Panini sued for termination of contract with no warning and wanted the court to determine that WWE’s action was invalid.

WWE already has an agreement with Fanatics to take over as the new trading card license holder.
