Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling is reporting that Goldberg’s contract with WWE has expired and he is now a free agent.

Through his Fightful Select service, Sapp said that there was no deal reached to renew or extend his contract, with his last match coming at the Elimination Chamber last year in Saudi Arabia losing against Roman Reigns.

Goldberg recently said that WWE “owes” him a retirement match and already has plans to do it without them if they don’t give him that.

The former champion returned to the company in 2016 and wrestled on big premium live events and Saudi shows. He won the Universal title twice since then.
