Former NXT UK star Jinny announces retirement

Former NXT UK star Jinny has announced her retirement from professional wrestling.

The 35-year-old, who wrestled professionally for eight years, delivered the news in a post on social media.

“After a long time away due to an injury, I have made the decision to hang up my fashionable boots,” Jinny said. “Thank you for all the memories. I’ll remember that chapter for the rest of my life. Every journey has an end, but in life, every ending is just a new beginning. I’m excited about what’s next.”

Jinny signed with WWE in 2017 and was part of the NXT UK brand. She has not wrestled in over a year. Many of her former colleagues responded to her announcement with many well wishes.

The British star is married to current WWE Intercontinental champion Gunther.
