MJF no-shows AEW Fan Fest, status for Double or Nothing unknown

In what could be a massive turn of events, MJF failed to appear at the AEW Fan Fest session yesterday held at Mandalay Bay, leaving fans stranded and AEW scrambling to offer alternatives.

While Khan and MJF had a meeting a while ago where the situation between the two was said to be as “settled,” it actually turned out to be more serious than initially thought. MJF remains unhappy and was demanding more money for his contributions and was annoyed at the fact that former WWE stars who were brought in were making more money than him.

PWInsider.com wrote that fans who purchased a ticket for the MJF meet and greet were offered exchanges for other talents to make up for the disappointment.

On this week’s media call with reporters, AEW President Tony Khan said that for MJF, this angle has been a “great opportunity to air some real life grievances and air his actual status,” adding that when real-life is integrated in a storyline, it becomes better. MJF then tweeted, “F*cking LOL. F*ck this place,” a tweet which was eventually deleted.

It is believed that the relationship between the two sides is at rock bottom at the moment and at this point it remains unknown if MJF will be at Double or Nothing tonight.

MJF has made it clear that he will go to the highest bidder when his contract is up and has no intention of re-signing with AEW unless he’s given a boatload of money.
