WWE re-hiring former execs for return of live events

PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE has brought back two employees who were originally given the pink slip last year after live event tours were stopped.

Scott Smoot is back as the Vice President of Live Event Production and was re-hired this month. He originally joined WWE in 2014 from the Cleveland Cavaliers but was dismissed in February of this year.

John D’Amico, who worked for WWE for over 30 years before he was released in September 2020, is also back in his role as Director of Production Management. D’Amico was re-hired this month as well and he wrote that he’s thrilled to be back with WWE and is looking forward building a new live production event team.

Both men were self employed during their time away from WWE. The company is hiring again individuals and new ones to rejoin their live events team now that WWE is back on the road.
