The feud between Jon Moxley and KENTA reached its climax yesterday during the New Japan Strong show when Moxley defended the IWGP United States title against KENTA in the main event of the show.

This was Moxley’s first title defense in over a year after the coronavirus pandemic prevented him from traveling to Japan to be part of NJPW shows. Rather than strip him off the title, the promotion let him keep it dormant for the whole time as challengers found each other for the right to take him on in 2021.

But the title will be staying with the former AEW World champion as Mox defeated KENTA with his Death Rider finisher, a match which you can see on the NJPW World streaming service.

The rivalry between the two escalated over the past several weeks with Moxley showing up on Strong attacking KENTA and KENTA showing up on Dynamite returning the favor. This actual match was filmed back in December so all the activities of the past few weeks were for an already-recorded match.
