Impact Wrestling releases Daga

Impact Wrestling has released Daga from their roster according to a report by WrestlingInc.com. Daga apparently requested his release from the promotion.

Daga, 32, has been working for Impact Wrestling since the beginning of 2019. His last match was on the October 4 Impact against Chris Bey.

The former AAA Latin American and Cruiserweight champion is married to former Impact World champion Tessa Blanchard and Daga has reportedly been waiting for his release for a bit now, with a tweet on Monday from him saying, “It’s just a matter of time…”

Blanchard is rumored to have been approached by WWE to return to NXT although the former champ is not a popular figure among her peers backstage.
