WWE Hall of Famer “Bullet” Bob Armstrong passes away

WWE Hall of Famer “Bullet” Bob Armstrong passed away yesterday at the age of 80. Armstrong had been battling cancer in his ribs, prostate, and shoulder at time of his death and was not getting any treatment.

Starting his wrestling career in 1960, Armstrong, whose real name is Joseph James, spent the majority of his career wrestling for Georgia Championship Wrestling and the NWA affiliates around the Southeastern United States. He also had a stint in TNA Wrestling in the early days of the promotion and last wrestled for the company in January 2008.

Despite his age, Bullet continue working even past his retirement show and believe it or not wrestled his last match in May 2019 with a career in professional wrestling spanning over six decades.

Bob’s four sons – Joseph Scott, Robert Bradley, Steve, and Brian – all became professional wrestlers.

Armstrong was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.
