There’s “no competition” and “no comparing” from All Elite Wrestling says Roman Reigns

In an interview with The Sportster, former WWE and Universal champion Roman Reigns shot down the idea of All Elite Wrestling being a competitor to WWE, saying there’s absolutely no comparison between the two.

“I’ll just say this. It’s all so new and it was what it was with Ambrose leaving and popping up over there… Competition? No, there’s no competition,” Reigns said. “WWE, we know exactly what we’re doing. We have the best talent in the world. There’s no comparing, I say that with firm confidence, all the way from the top to the very bottom. We are world class all the way through.”

His former Shield tag team partner Seth Rollins has also been very vocal on Twitter about WWE being the best in town and even got into an argument with Will Ospreay. Rollins eventually apologized to Ospreay after he told him to compare the bank accounts of the two.

But while Reigns denounced AEW as a competition, he said that the promotion is another option and another place to get a check. “I’m never against optimism but I think you have foolish thoughts if you really think there’s a comparison or actual competition. Just an option, which isn’t a bad thing.”

Reigns was interviewed by The Sportster over his new marketing deal with Brisk and his role in the upcoming film Hobbs and Shaw.
