Rousey’s April Fool’s joke idea for Raw next week shot down after main event announcement

Raw Women’s champion Ronda Rousey wanted to pull an April Fool’s joke on Monday Night Raw next week announcing she’s pregnant and the women would “no longer be the main event” at WrestleMania because “she’s out!”

The only problem was that Rousey didn’t know that they will literally be the main event at WrestleMania, and after floating her long idea to Paul Heyman, Heyman shot it down and broke the news to her.

“I found out from Paul Heyman. And the reason I found out is I sent him this long text,” Ronda said in an entry on her website. “Then he called me back immediately, and he said, ‘Yeah, great idea and all, but they’re going to announce to all major outlets and everything that the women are actually going to main event, this Monday. So we can’t do your April Fool’s Day joke. They’re making that official, official.’”

Rousey has been closely working with Paul Heyman on her promos for the past several months and Heyman has written a big chunk of her work and also helps out with the social media war with Becky Lynch.

The champ also said that from now on she is the self-proclaimed Mrs. WrestleMania.
