Raw Women’s title match to main event WrestleMania 35

WWE today announced that the Raw Women’s triple threat title match at WrestleMania will headline the pay-per-view.

This marks the first time that female WWE Superstars will close WrestleMania in its 35-year history. Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair will write themselves in the history books once WrestleMania 35 is over and done with.

Over the past couple of years, WWE pushed the women to another level, giving them their own pay-per-view, the Royal Rumble match, Elimination Chamber and Hell In A Cell steel cage matches, Money In The Bank ladder matches, and a variety of other gimmick matches that up until a few years ago were unthinkable.

The arrival of Ronda Rousey last year continued to elevate the status of the WWE women and in the 15 months since her arrival, they now get the chance to make history once again.

The triple threat match was wildly rumored to be headlining the show this year but usually, such decisions are taken the week of WrestleMania as plans often change.
