Former Cruiserweight champion TJP addresses his sudden release from WWE

TJP used Twitter to address his release from WWE which came yesterday, just days after appearing on 205 Live. TJP did not ask for his release but was let go along with Tye Dillinger and Hideo Itami, who did ask for their contract to be terminated.

The former Cruiserweight champion said that he has been receiving a lot of messages, tweets, texts, e-mails, and phone calls and it was a bit overwhelming. “If I miss your message here I apologize. Many are expressing sadness, and thank you, but it’s ok,” he wrote.

“There’s nothing for me to be upset about. And I am very lucky to have been given a shot to play for that team. I’m very proud of my community and for better or worse would die on our sword every single time. What my culture means to me is worth it,” TJP continued, mentioning several times in earlier tweets that all he wanted was to represent the Filipino people.

“Thanks for giving me a chance and letting me play for the team I grew up watching,” he concluded, retweeting WWE’s tweet of his release.
