Location of Crown Jewel pay-per-view removed from WWE website

WWE has removed all references to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on the Crown Jewel WWE.COM website and left only the time and date. The pay-per-view page is still online along with a countdown showing a start time of Noon EST on Friday, November 2.

Several U.S. Senators are piling pressure on WWE to cancel the show altogether following the events that took place lately with the alleged murder of the Washington Post columnist inside Saudi’s consulate in Istanbul, Turkey. WWE has said that it’s monitoring the situation but failed to give more details when the media reached out for comments.

Tomorrow’s Raw will provide a better picture of where this is heading. After Crown Jewel, WWE stars and crew will immediately fly straight to Europe to kick off their long European tour and television tapings in Manchester, England, leaving very little room to wiggle to pull a replacement event in a different country.

It’s interesting to note that tickets for Crown Jewel are not on sale yet even though the event is just 18 days away.
