Shinsuke Nakamura hints at WWE stay…depending on the money

Speaking to UK’s Sky Sports in Brooklyn during the SummerSlam weekend, United States champion Shinsuke Nakamura hinted that he will be staying in WWE when his contract is up.

“Moving to the U.S. is a big decision for my family…it’s a long-term thing,” Nakamura told Sky Sports. When the interviewer brought up the rumors that he would be leaving for New Japan Pro Wrestling, Shinsuke said that NJPW did not contact him at all and when asked if he would sticking around then, Nakamura said, “Probably…it depends on…” and then smiled and did the money hand gesture.

While he achieved big success in NXT when he arrived, Nakamura’s main roster run is probably far from ideal for him. He unsuccessfully challenged for the WWE title on numerous occasions after winning the Royal Rumble and is now back in the mid-card holding the U.S. title.

Nakamura arrived in WWE in February 2016 and made his main roster debut on the Smackdown after WrestleMania 33 in Orlando.
