Daniel Bryan breaks Royal Rumble record

After three years away from the ring, Daniel Bryan pulled a superstar performance at the Greatest Royal Rumble, lasting a total of 1:16:05 in the ring, smashing the previous record held for the longest run in a Rumble match.

Bryan entered #1 and eliminated three people – Mark Henry (with Dolph Ziggler), Viktor, and Dash Wilder (with Hornswoggle) – before being eliminated by his Backlash opponent Big Cass. Bryan found himself in the ring with Big Cass, Kevin Owens, and eventual winner Braun Strowman in the final four.

The previous record was held by Rey Mysterio at the 2006 Royal Rumble where he went on for 1:02:12. Currently in #3 is Chris Benoit with a total of 1:01:31 at the 2004 Rumble.
