Bobby Lashley invites President Trump to be in his corner at Slammiversary

Impact Wrestling issued a press release today to publicize Bobby Lashley’s tweet to President Trump to be in his corner at Slammiversary as he and Alberto El Patron wrestle to unify the GFW and TNA titles.

“Well, it looks like I need to find a cornerman for Slammiversary? @realDonaldTrump? It won’t be the 1st time! #reallegend,” Lashley tweeted.

Earlier this week, Impact revealed that Mexican luchador legend Dos Caras will be in the corner of his son Alberto El Patron during the show, prompting Lashley to go for the publicity stunt.

“Impact Wrestling is waiting for an answer from Trump,” the press release said.

Donald Trump was in Lashley’s corner at WrestleMania 23 as he wrestled Umaga with Vince McMahon in his corner in a hair vs hair match. That match ended with Lashley winning and Trump getting some action as well by beating on Vince McMahon. The two, along with the help of Steve Austin, then shaved Vince McMahon’s head. Trump however did not leave the ring on a high note as he was on the receiving end of a Stunner by Austin.
