Austin Aries returns to the ring on 205 Live

Austin Aries has moved from NXT and is now part of the 205 Live cruiserweight roster.

The former TNA champion was injured at the end of October, suffering a large orbital fracture during a non-televised live event match against Shinsuke Nakamura. Aries needed titanium plates inserted to fix the damage, and has been on the sidelines ever since.

Since then, Aries transitioned to the commentary team, providing color commentary for Main Event as well as joining Corey Graves and Mauro Ranallo for 205 Live. During last night’s 205 Live broadcast on the WWE Network, Aries wrestled Tony Nese in his first match back since he suffered the injury and 24 hours after he attacked Neville on Monday Night Raw.
