3 traditional 5-on-5 matches set for the Survivor Series

A week after Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon issued a challenge to Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon for a series of matches at the Survivor Series, the Raw team has accepted.

The Survivor Series is returning to multiple 5-on-5 traditional Survivor Series elimination matches featuring Raw vs Smackdown. These matches will have male Superstars, female Superstars, and even a tag team match with 5 tag teams on each side for a total of 20 Superstars in one  match.

Over the years, WWE has moved away from the 5-on-5 matches at the Survivor Series, a match that was a staple of the event when it started and throughout the early to mid 90s. Last year there was only one 5-on-5 match on the PPV, and one on the Kickoff show and in 2014 there was only one such match and another 4-on-4 featuring the women.
