Kota Ibushi reportedly signs NXT deal

The Pro Wrestling Torch is reporting that Kota Ibushi has signed an NXT deal and his involvement with the WWE will be far more than just the current Cruiserweight Classic tournament.

Ibushi was shown sitting ringside at the NXT Takeover: Dallas, sparking a frenzy among wrestling fans. He was later announced as one of the participants in the inaugural WWE Cruiserweight Classic, a 32-man tournament currently airing on the WWE Network.

The 34 year old from Japan wrestled for DDT, Ring Of Honor, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, and New Japan Pro Wrestling in the past and this week he made his NXT debut when he was part of the NXT television tapings, wrestling Blake Murphy. He made it past round one of the CWC tournament defeating Sean Maluta.
