D-Generation X theme song vocalist Chris Warren passes away

When D-Generation X’s theme song – titled Break It Down – hit the speakers, you knew you what was coming. The iconic theme song was sung by Chris Warren, who fronted different bands over the years. That same Chris Warren passed away two days ago at the age of 48.

Warren performed several times for WWE live including at WrestleMania and SummerSlam. He also sang Triple H’s theme My Time and in 2009 he re-recorded the D-Generation X theme with WWE music composer Jim Johnston. Perhaps not something he was very proud of, Warren sang America The Beautiful at WrestleMania XIV, a performance which was slaughtered by fans and critics and it never made it anywhere else except on the live pay-per-view.

Warren’s work was also featured on TNA in 2007 and 2008 when the company used his vocals and band’s music on several shows and DVDs.
