The funeral service for Dusty Rhodes is being held today in Tampa, Florida, as family, friends, and colleagues all come together to say one final goodbye to the American Dream.

A large contingent from WWE as well as NXT are present at the funeral service, held on one of the few days that WWE does not tour. The service kicks off at 4:30PM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church and no fans or media will be allowed in.

“It is 90 today in Tampa Bay. A sunny but sad day as I head to say bye to a dear friend and mentor,” tweeted John Laurinaitis earlier today as Diamond Dallas Page wrote that today was going to be a very tough day.

The Tampa Bay Tribune is on site to cover the funeral and put a photo of Pat Patterson hugging Gerald Brisco as The Rock’s mother, Ata Johnson, looks on.
