Match on Smackdown stopped after R-Truth injury

The Damian Priest vs R-Truth match on Smackdown last night had to be stopped after Truth hit a missile dropkick from the top rope.

After landing, Truth did not stand up and remained on the mat, although moving, and the referee immediately stepped in to check on the former tag team champion. The ref then threw up the X hand signal to notify a legit injury and then relayed instructions to Priest.

Priest went outside to grab a chair and got in the ring, but Fraxiom made the “save,” before Priest could swing it.

According to multiple insiders, the original finish of the match had Priest pinning Priest and then grabbing the chair, followed by Fraxiom making the save.
